Attendance & Participation Policy

Attendance and participation expectations for live and online courses.
Participation is what makes live instruction effective, and it is required for a Certificate of Completion.
Live cohort attendance
Students should attend at least 80% of scheduled live classes and complete at least 70% of Moodle coursework to receive a certificate. Attendance is recorded by the instructor.
Absences
Notify your instructor in advance when possible. Classes are not repeated individually, but recordings may be shared at the instructor's discretion.
Lateness
Join within the first 15 minutes. Repeated late arrival counts as a partial absence because it disrupts group work.
Self-paced courses
There is no attendance requirement. Progress is measured by completed units. Certificate eligibility requires 80% completion of graded activities.
Extenuating circumstances
Illness, bereavement, military service or similar situations are handled individually. Contact studentservices@starfhax.institute and we will agree on a reasonable plan.
