Privacy Policy

In plain English

How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

This policy explains what personal information Starfhax Institute collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Information we collect

Account information: name, email address and password (stored encrypted). Enrollment information: the courses and cohorts you purchase, your progress and certificates. Payment information: handled by Stripe. We never store full card numbers. Technical information: browser type, device and general location derived from your IP address.

How we use information

To deliver instruction, provide access to Moodle and Zoom, process payments, issue certificates, respond to support requests and meet legal obligations. We may email you about your enrollment and, if you opt in, about new programs.

Who we share information with

Service providers who help us operate: Stripe (payments), Moodle hosting (learning), Zoom (live classes) and email delivery. We do not sell personal information. We disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of students and staff.

How long we keep information

Enrollment and academic records are kept for seven years after your last activity so certificates can be verified. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by writing to privacy@starfhax.institute. Deletion requests are honored except where we must retain records for legal, tax or certificate-verification reasons.

Security

Access to student data is restricted to staff who need it. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you as described in the Data Breach Response Policy.
